When Brett Goldstein, Jason Segel and Bill Lawrence were asked how they got Harrison Ford on the show, Segel said that Goldstein initially wanted a «Harrison Ford type» and wanted to audition people who were like Ford. Segel told Goldstein that he should at least suggest it to Ford first, because he thought he would immediately say no, but at least other people would know that Harrison Ford was selected for the project, which piqued the interest of other big-name actors.

This show is so beautifully written
His dry style is absolutely the best. His snarky demeanor and sharp tongue are now my goal in life as I get older. He’s hysterical and I need more of that in my life!!! And if you’re a Jason Segel fan, you won’t be disappointed.
Definitely watch this show
It has complex characters dealing with real issues. It stirs up all the feels and leaves you wanting more each week. In a Ted Lasso kind of way, it feels like a warm hug. I can’t wait for season 2!
