Solstudio Textile Group and the Russian Union of Entrepreneurs of Textile and Light Industry have launched the fifth international contest for textile designers Textile Design Talents 2022. Owing to the fact last year more than 500 designers from 123 cities and 24 countries applied for participation, including: England, Italy, France, Belgium, Denmark, India, China, Israel, USA, Namibia, Indonesia, Puerto Rico and many others.
This year, the competition will become part of a large-scale project to create a new digital platform for the development of textile design Print-a-porter.
The textile design studio Solstudio Textile Design has become the winner and received the grant of the Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives with this innovative project.
The contest is supported by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia, the Russian Week of Textile and Light Industry and the INTERFABRIC exhibition.
Today textile design remains the main driver of fashion. The Textile Design Talents Solstudio Award contest is targeted to support talented textile designers and to draw attention of professionals from related spheres to them and create conditions for better application and development of their outstanding capabilities in the industry.
The best works will be loaded to platform Print-a-porter, which will let textile artists be seen by professional buyers of textile designs from various industries, allowing them to sell designs or fabrics, or produce fabric for themselves, developing their own business in textiles, clothing, and other industries.
The competition brought together a strong international jury.
