I devoured it upon release and found myself losing interest several times
Helen begins a passionate affair with a man who has no idea what her secret identity is. Helen’s employer, caught in the crosshairs when her lover falls victim to London’s dangerous underworld, calls Sam in to protect her. Bing, the owner of the guitar shop where Sam gets his guns, is played by Rat Scabies, a member of the classic punk band The Damned. Starring: Graham Norton and guest starring: Cher/Keira Knightley/Michael Fassbender/Josh Brolin/Jalen Ngonda (2024).
The British are good at dry, dark humor
It has a Guy Ritchie ring to it, but he’s not cutting it for The Gentlemen. It’s probably important for future viewers that it has a comedic component. I think the reason for losing interest is that the story is chaotic and sometimes hard to follow. Not because it’s an authoritative work, but because the gist of the story is presented in a chaotic, almost chaotic way.
And the intrigues that aren’t well-written could have been great
You try to hold onto the threads you’re reading, but sometimes you wonder what it’s all about. And in my opinion, there are too many characters that overwhelm the story and the show as a whole. I’m trying to think of what could have improved the series. Maybe they created that chaos on purpose to give it edge and comedic value.
But that was left out
Not bad, but definitely not good either. I wouldn’t pick up a second season. It’s just fundamentally flawed in too many ways. Btw, not the 2 main characters’ fault..
